Comes from Austria and studied architecture and event management in Vienna. She was a partner at „nonconform – Architektur vor Ort“ and has organised national and international architectural-knowledge-transfer projects. Since 2008 she has been active in teaching and research at the Institute of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture at the University of Technology of Vienna.
Elisabeth Leitner received her doctorate in 2012 on the topic “City Building Culture by courtesy of the European Capital of Culture”. In the same year she published the first architecture and city guide of the Ukrainian city Lviv together with Andreas Hofer and Bohdan Tscherkes. Her research focus is the European Capital of Culture. Her latest project is kulturhauptstadt2024.at – a platform for discussing proposals from various cities for the European Capital of Culture in Austria.
