Mayor of Bratislava represents the territory of the city of Bratislava and acts on behalf of subjects of this territory in the Partnership Board. He studied at the Faculty of Law, Comenius University in Bratislava and at several universities abroad. His professional life started at the Slovak Academy of Sciences. In 1990’s he worked for the Václav Havel President’s office in Prague as layer with a focus on the protection of human rights. He lived and worked as lawyer in several European countries. In the period 1992 – 2005 he ran an international law office Gleiss Lutz Rechtsanwälte, Stuttgart, Prague, Bratislava, specialised in international transactions, assumptions, mergers and acquisitions, European Union law, protection of competition, banking, securities, real estates, Greenfield Projects, privatization and intellectual property.
Since 2009 he is a member of the City council of Bratislava, a member of the Bratislava Region Council and vice-president of Bratislava Self-governing Region. He actively seeks the protection of Bratislava vineyards, support the system solution of Bratislava public transport and the implementation of the bearing system of the public transport, the integration of suburban rail transport to public transport, the construction of transport hubs and parking places and the construction of cycle paths. He promotes sensible town planning and construction process, which develops the city and is harmless to people. He advocates for abolishment of billboards and illegal buildings that devastate public spaces and urban greenery.
